There’s been some heavy stuff on this blog in the last little while, so here’s a video to make you smile — theist and atheist alike.
Blogger Doug from dougsploitation premiered a video by ska praise-band Sonseed called “Jesus is a Friend of Mine” a few weeks ago. Ever since then, it’s been a source of online controversy. Real? Or a goofy jab at praise music?
The general feeling on the interwebs is that it’s legit. But really, who cares? The song is catchy, and the words are good for a chuckle.
Choice lyrics (1:40):
Once I tried to run,
I tried to run and hide.
But Jesus came and found me,
And he touched me down inside. He is like a mountie,
He always gets his man,
And he’ll zap you any way he can…
Zap!

I do not know if it is real or not but you are right, it is really funny and sadly, I have been to many a church with that kind of music. That is why I am a fan of Def Leppard and AC/DC, I can separate between my religious beliefs and my music. Besides, there is no better evangelical song in the world then AC/DC’s “Hell’s Bells”.

Just thought I’d let you know–my site has changed. WordPress deleted it this morning for mp3 postings, which is fine; totally their right. I should have had a disclaimer and an expiration date for my mp3 postings. The new address is http://ucellucciasara.wordpress.com/ and will be up and running in the next week or so. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Argh, that’s frustrating.
Tip for the future: When I write posts for the music blog I share with a friend, I post MP3s that have been trimmed using free software. i.e., They’re basically just previews of the 30 seconds of the song I’m referencing. WordPress hasn’t had a problem with it yet.
